The Kansas City Jayhawks play host to the Loyla-Maryland Greyhounds, at Allen Fieldhouse Arena, for some college hoop action.
The Kansas City Jayhawks added on another win to their perfect season by beating the Boston College Eagles, 85-60 on the road. Darnell Jackson had a big night with 25pts and 9 REB. Darrell Arthur was huge in the paint scoring 10 of 12 from inside the paint. The Jayhawks are averaging 83 PPG with the majority of them coming from inside the paint, they’re ranked 2nd from the field. They manage to make about 39% of their 3-point shots. On defense they allow an average 58 PPG and great at protecting under the basket but struggle at preventing the 3-pointer. The go to guy for the Jayhawks is Darrell Arthur averaging 13 PPG and 7 REB. The Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds got their first win after going on a three game losing skid as they beat the Iona Gaels, 63-51 at home. Gerald Brown was their top producer with 16pts and 11 REB. Only two other players had double digit points. Wow! They made 3 for 15 from outside the 3-pointline, but they pulled down an acceptable 39 REB. The Greyhounds offense averages 69 PPG with the majority of their points coming from the free throw line. Their defense allows 71 PPG with most of them coming from inside the paint. Their go to guy is Gerald Brown averaging 19 PPG and 3 STL. The Greyhounds are currently winless on the road and they sit in 6th place in the MAAC Standings. They are 5-6 ATS and 5-5 O/U.
Bottom Line:It's going to be all JAYHAWKS. It's going to get ugly fast!
