The Villanova Wildcats will host the Louisiana State Fighting Tigers tonight, at the Allstate Arena, for some college hoops.

The Villanova Wildcats rebounded with a, 87-61, home win over Penn State after they suffered their first loss to N.C. State. Against Penn State the biggest producer for the Wildcats was Scottie Reynolds with 21pts. They did great under the basket pulling down 14 offensive rebounds and 22 defensive rebounds. They’re currently ranked 22nd at offensive rebounding. Their offense is good for an average 78 PPG and they do well in the paint and at the perimeter shot. Now defense is another story. They allow an average 67 PPG and they have trouble defending in the paint and stopping the 3-pointer. The go to guy for the Wildcats is Scottie Reynolds with 17 PPG and 4 APG. Big man Casiem Drummond leads his team in rebounds and blocks. The Wildcats are currently 3-0 at home and they sit tied for 8th place in the Big East Standings. The Wildcats are (3-1 ATS, 3-1 O/U).

The LSU Fighting Tigers are enjoying back to back wins over Nicholls State and most recently a, 88-45, home win over the Southern Jaguars. The top producer for the Tigers was Anthony Randolph with 24pts on the day and as a team they pulled down an amazing 49 rebounds, 12 on offense and 37 on defense. The Tigers are good for 77 PPG with the majority of their points coming from inside the paint. They don’t have the greatest 3-point shooters but they do get it done. Their defense allows an average 66 PPG and they excel at stopping their opponents under the basket. They manage to pull down a lot of defensive rebounds but the struggle with offensive rebounds averaging just 9 RPG. Anthony Randolph leads his team in rebounds and blocks. Marcus Thornton is the top producer for the Tigers averaging 19 PPG. The Tigers will be playing their first away game tonight and they currently sit in 3rd place in the SEC West Standings. The Tigers are (0-2 ATS, 2-0 O/U).
