(No. 4) Georgetown (7-0) at Radford (4-6)
Sat, Dec 15, 2007 7:30 PM ET

The Georgetown Hoyas put their perfect record on the line when they host the Radford Highlanders this weekend, at the Verizon Center.

The Georgetown Hoyas recently beat the Jacksonville Dolphins 87-55 at home. A.Freeman led his team with 15pts and J.Sapp was the best rebounder pulling down 8 REB. The Hoyas best part of their game is on defense where they allow the second least amount of points (52 PPG) and they are the third best team at shutting down their opponents in the paint. Offensively they don’t put up a huge amount of points but they’re superb in the paint which is where most of their points come from. They shoot averagely from the 3-point line but strangely suck at free throws. The main producer for the Hoyas is Roy Hibbert with 13 PPG, 7 REB and 2 BLK. He seems to be the guy doing most of the work. The starting lineup last game was Jonathan Wallace, DaJuan Summers, Jessie Sapp, Patrick Ewing and Roy Hibbert. The Hoyas are currently 4-0 at home and they sit in 2nd place in the Big East Standings.

The Radford Highlanders have back to back wins after their most recent, 75-68, home win over the Campbell Fighting Camels. Kenny Thomas had a great night with 23pts and Joey Lynch-Flohr had 15pts and 9 REB. The Highlanders manage to muster up 70 PPG and they’re absolutely awful at shooting the 3-pointer. The majority of their points come from the field or the free throw line. Their defense is just plain ole bad. Enough said. Martell McDuffy leads his team averaging 15 PPG; Amir Johnson averages 6 AST and 3 SPG. The starting five last game was Eric Hall, Joey Lynch-Flohr, Martell McDuffy, Amir Johnson and Kenny Thomas. The Highlanders are currently 1-5 on the road and they sit in last place in the Big South Standings.

Bottom Line: It’ll be all Georgetown with the Highlanders putting up a good fight. The Hoyas will go 8-0!
